Cage the Elephant est un groupe originaire du Kentucky et fondé en 2006.
Au départ, le groupe rock était composé de trois membres; Matt Schultz, Jared Champion et Brad Schultz et se nommait "Perfect Confusion". Plus tard, Lincoln Parish et Daniel Tichenor se joignent au groupe et ce dernier change de nom pour Cage the Elephant.
Certaines de leurs chansons "hits" sont In one ear, Ain't no rest for the wicked, Shake me down, Come a little closer et Back against the wall.
